Mission
Our mission is to design and promote a supportive learning platform that affords every student the opportunity to develop cognitive, literacy and life skills that reach into all forms of communication.
Vision
We envision creating a Bermuda Spelling Bee of world-class standing, developing in students a life-long curiosity in literacy, inspiring them to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.
Purpose
Bermuda Spelling Bee is more than just a competition; it's an educational event aimed at equipping spellers with tools to help them develop a rich vocabulary, promoting clear communication skills and enhancing good study habits. Our purpose is to expand each participating student's vocabulary and foster a love for the written word by encouraging positive and purposeful reading habits. This initiative engages public, private and home school students and provides beneficial extracurricular activities as they pursue their education. Our ultimate goal is to make Bermuda Spelling Bee a permanent fixture in Bermuda's calendar of events and potentially expand it into a regional competition.
